Regularly maintain and update the requirements of the ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system

In 2019, Huong Viet Sinh Limited Company implemented the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System, replacing the previous version, ISO 22000:2005. The ISO 22000:2018 is the latest standard that specifies the basic requirements for a Food Safety Management System (FSMS). On May 6th, 2021, a team of experts from Bureau Veritas Certification Vietnam (BVC) visited the kitchen of Huong Viet Sinh Company to conduct a periodic assessment and update the ISO 22000:2018 version. This evaluation ensures that the company continues to meet the necessary standards for food safety management and maintains the highest level of hygiene and safety in their operations, ensuring the health of the consumers.

Through the working session at Huong Viet Sinh Company Limited, expert Dao Xuan Cuong from Bureau Veritas Certification Vietnam Company highly appreciated the working spirit and responsibility of all employees at Huong Viet Sinh Company Limited (HVS). In addition, the expert noted that the company's ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system always meets the requirements. The factory system, machinery and equipment are designed to ensure food safety and hygiene, clean, with complete hygiene and pest control records suitable with GMP guidelines. The industrial meal production process following the one-way principle is well arranged and implemented. The CCP control point monitoring process is applied correctly (controlling food temperature, cooking time, sensory evaluation). There is an appropriate CCP inspection plan (results of microbiological testing of food every 6 months/1 time).

The evaluation of the company's ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system is also based on the process document and tracing file system of the departments. Documents on Food Safety Manual; Food Safety Policy; Document management process, assessment records, supplier selection, procurement, equipment management, warehouse management, HACCP plan; Hazard analysis and GMP guidelines, business context analysis, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats...are suitable with system requirements. Training and communication files on food safety policies; Training records on food safety knowledge; Supplier assessment, inspection records annually, supplier capacity files; Tracing records for the entire process of receiving raw materials, processing, providing meals to schools...are thoroughly traced.

The food safety management system at Huong Viet Sinh Company fully complies with the requirements of the ISO 22000:2018 standard, with no non-conformities identified.
